Oklahoma High School Soccer Finals

Oklahoma high school soccer doesn’t get much better than the matches set for this weekend. Defending girls 6A state champions, Edmond North, will taken on the 5A state champions, Tulsa Bishop Kelley. Kelley was was moved up a class after dominating the 5A division for several years. The championship game will be held Friday at 6pm at Newcastle.

Two of the top ten high school boys teams will meet Friday at 8pm at Newcastle High School to compete for the 6A boys title. ESPN has Norman North ranked No. 3 and Tulsa Union ranked 10. Norman North enters the match unbeaten, having taken down the defending champion Broken Arrow 5-0 Tuesday evening.

  • 5A: Memorial at Cascia Hall, 7 p.m.; East Central at Booker T. Washington, 8 p.m.
  • 4A: Poteau at Heavener, 7 p.m.; Miami at Verdigris, 8 p.m.

Girls

  • 6A: Broken Arrow at Jenks, 6 p.m.; Union at Bishop Kelley, 6 p.m.
  • 5A: Booker T. Washington at Skiatook, 6 p.m.; Edison at Coweta, 6:30 p.m.
  • 4A: Catoosa at Verdigris, 6 p.m.; Claremore Sequoyah at Wagoner, 6:30 p.m.

Barry Manilow Playing the BOK Center and Chesapeake Arena

While he may no longer be ‘At the Copa’, Barry Manilow will be in Oklahoma this summer.  The legendary singer will be bringing his hits of the 70′s and 80′s to the BOK Center on June 8th and the Chesapeake Arena the following evening.  Tickets go on sale for both venues this Friday, April 13th, 2012.
